Item Description

Hhere is a beautiful small cabinet sized Fluorite specimen from the Stolberg area which hosts good sized, sharp, well-formed, lustrous, beautiful blue cubes measuring up to 3.5 cm free of matrix. Like many Fluorites, this piece shifts in color which ranges from more of a green hue to purple in certain lighting. here is a bit of reddish-brown iron oxide included / coating the Fluorites for a very attractive two-tone appearance. The piece is in pretty good condition on the display side (it's not complete on the back) but you can see that some of the Fluorites are contacted on the front. An attractive old specimen for anybody who collects German minerals or worldwide Fluorites. Priced at $1,800 in the inventory. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3946). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
