Item Description

A hard to find Fluorite from the Marienschacht Mine featuring sharp, translucent, rich yellow colored cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 3.0 cm on edge with no matrix. The outer edges of the crystals show very thin but distinct lavender "phantoms" for a really nice effect. No major damage outside of the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket, but a few tiny nicks can be seen here and there. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3927). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
