Two generations fluorite cover this sculptural large specimen from an obscure prospect near Queen Canyon near the Esmeralda/Mineral County line in Nevada. Waxy lustre, nubby, translucent light sea-green second generation fluorite covers the two large first generation octahedrons, to 6.8 cm, of translucent gray-green fluorite. The matrix is massive gray-green fluorite. MINDAT lists 9 localities in the Buena Vista Mining District near the county line. Purple fluorescence. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection. Bob is a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. A rare, rich and showy 2-generation fluorite from the area.
