Item Description

Very fine combination piece from the famous Minerva #1 mine in southern Illinois. The completely gemmy Fluorites are a lovely sky-blue color, and the largest is 2.2 cm on edge. The Fluorite crystals rest on either Sphalerite or matrix, and there is enough separation to allow this small cab to be nicely balanced visually. Fluorescence for the Fluorites is a rich, royal blue. The aesthetics are quite good, and even better in person. The mines here have been closed for awhile now, sadly.
