An impressive, aesthetic and rich fluorite on quartz combination from this famed French Alpine locality. Pretty pastel-pink, frosted/etched fluorite octahedrons, to about 8 mm, envelope the top and one side of the striking quartz crystal. The zone immediately below the fluorites is stunningly water-clear with the lower portion of the lustrous crystal being translucent. Moderate pink fluorescence. The base of the quartz is very surprising in itself! It is contacted but has no damage, per se. The attachment is at one end of the terminated quartz crystal. A fascinating and classic fluorite and quartz combination from renowned Chamonix. Valued at $1000-1250 or more, if at a European show. BETTER IN PERSON
