Item Description

A highly unusual and sculptural large fluorite combination from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. A 7.3 cm cluster of gem, interpenetrating color-zoned fluorite cubes with striking accessories is dramatically perched the thin wedge of flattened quartz crystals. The limpid, glassy fluorite cubes, to 4.4 cm, are a light blue-gray and have beautiful light teal-blue edge phantoms. One side is fantastically accented with a 2.8 cm ball of sparkly bladed boulangerite, that is richly sprinkled with bright golden chalcopyrite sphenoids. Nearby are BOTH glassy, RARE, flattened, tabular quartz crystals and terminated hexagonal crystals. The cute doubly terminated, Herkimer-like crystal is 3.0 cm. This surreal two-sided piece is nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of bruising to the fluorite and quartz crystals. Bright purple fluorescence. A stunning and fascinating large combination from this noted locale. Valued at $1500.
