Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, rich purple fluorite cubes to 3.5 cm form a showy and excellent CABINET specimen from the famous Deardorff Mine, Cave-in-Rock District of Southern Illinois. The cubes have striking stepped-growth faces and are nicely accented with lustrous galena cubes to 1.6 cm and a rich coating of sparkly, drusy quartz on one side. There are even a few tiny calcite crystals. The four primary fluorite cubes are pristine. Periphery wear is noted, but is a minimal detraction. This remains a highly representative, large Illinois fluorite combination specimen with vivid purple color
