Item Description
Here we have a classic specimen of the beautiful Fluorites from the well-known Emilio Mine in Asturias, Spain. This piece features many WATER-CLEAR, colorless, slightly modified cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 7 mm on edge, sitting atop bladed soft grey-blue colored Baryte matrix. The Fluorites are slightly compressed on one axis, so they're not perfectly equant cubes, which is a signature habit for the locality. The optic clarity and lack of color is a sure of chemical purity in Fluorite, which is notably rare in nature, as the majority of Fluorite crystals have impurities that given them their color. No major damage that I can find, and the piece displays beautifully as you can see. From the collection of Colin Manlove.
