Item Description

Fluorite specimens from the Jaimina Mine are some of the most distinctive, eye-catching and beautifully crystallized examples from any Fluorite-producing locality in Spain. This specimen features wonderful, very gemmy (virtually water clear in areas) nearly colorless (very pale grey-blue in some light) cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.6 cm on edge. The faces of the cubes show slightly raised up "stepped" features for a great touch. The main cube shows some interesting bright red inclusions of an unknown mineral floating inside. The piece is in good shape overall, but there are a handful of imperfections that keep it from being 100% perfect. The crystals are really gemmy and they were incredibly difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district.
