Fluorite (gemmy crystals)

Item Description

This is a very nice example of the famous Moscona Fluorites. These pieces do not get enough credit for their quality and color, perhaps because they were fairly common on the market, but they are still fine quality Fluorites regardless. This small cabinet featuring dozens of rather lustrous, sharp, well-formed, very gemmy beautiful golden colored of cubic crystals associated with minor "saddle"-shaped Dolomite crystals on matrix. The largest Fluorite crystal measures 1.0 cm on edge. The specimen is in great shape overall, and it displays beautifully as you can see. Only a tiny amount of roughness can be seen in a few spots. The Fluorite crystals are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. Ex Brian Kosnar dealer stock.
