Item Description

The renowned Naica Mine in Mexico is a world famous locality, and is probably best known as the home of the famous "Cave of Swords", which is a giant series of the most exemplary Gypsum crystals ever found. Additionally this mine has produced superb examples of many species including some truly iconic Fluorites. This gorgeous miniature sized specimen features a few superb quality, very sharp, beautiful pale green colored, GEMMY crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 2.7 cm across with minor associated Quartz. The Fluorites show a lovely combination of cubic, octahedral and dodecahedral faces. The piece is in great shape on the display side, and while there is no true damage, there are some separation marks around the back of the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. This one was difficult to photograph, but it's very attractive in person and would make a fine addition to any Fluorite suite or a collection of minerals from Naica. We had this piece valued in the inventory at $1,200 for the overall quality and displayability of the piece.
