Item Description

The Okorusu Mine is one of the premier Fluorite localities in the world. It has been the source of some incredibly fine quality multicolor specimens for many years. I have literally seen Fluorite specimens in every color of the rainbow (that included black and colorless) from Okorusu. This piece is from a discovery about 10 years ago and features a group of very sharp, lustrous, VERY gemmy, cubic crystals measuring up to 2.1 cm on edge which show classic internal "phantoms" with a mix of green, blue and purple hues inside. There is only minor matrix, so the piece is mostly Fluorite. I love the beautiful stepped cubic faces on the corners of the crystals, which almost reminds me of an old Q*bert board from the classic video game. I can't find any damage of note outside of the exterior edges of the piece where it was removed from the pocket. Fine quality and such a a fantastic mix of color! Valued at $950 in the inventory.
