Item Description

Here we have a wonderful old classic example of Fluorite from the now extinct mine Erika Mine featuring attractive, sharp, gemmy, lustrous patel silvery-green and red (from iron oxide) colored cubic crystals of Fluorite with very minor matrix. The crystals are very lustrous and gemmy and even feature a bit of associated Dolomite. The largest crystal measures 1.6 cm. Very little damage, save the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. The lower central front portion of the specimen is not damaged, as I can see clear recrystallization, so the display side is actually in very good shape. Valued at $1,250 for size, quality and displayability. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3698). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
