Item Description

Fluorite specimens from the much less well-known Kavalerovo Mining District, near Dal'negorsk, Russia are much rarer than from the much more famous nearby Dal'negorsk mines. Extremely sharp, lightly frosted, color-zoned pink and pastel-green fluorite octahedrons are aesthetically set on the very sculptural CABINET drusy quartz matrix. The striking, large, isolated octo is 3.3 x 3.0 x 2.5 cm. The color and form of these fluorites is diagnostic of this uncommon locale. Nearly pristine, with only one gently bruised corner on the large octo. Ex Ed David Collection and comes with a custom-made, baked clay base. Valued $750
