Gemmy and lustrous, rich golden-yellow, fluorite cubes to 9 mm cover the matrix plate on this very fine old-timer from the Freiberg mining district in Germany. The 2.2 cm ball of intergrown calcite rhombs and the rich dusting of marcasite/chalcopyrite add character to this excellent historic specimen with a fine pedigree.
