Item Description

Two generations, one rare, of gemmy pretty violet fluorite crystals, to about 1.0 cm, with satin lustre faces are richly and attractively clustered atop an impressive and sculptural layered combination specimen from the famous Annabel Lee Mine. RARE sharp fluorite dodecahedrons are set amongst the typical cubes and the sprinkling of tiny golden chalcopyrite sphenoids is a nice accent. The fluorites rest on an impressive and uncommon intergrown cluster of splendent metallic galena cubes, to 4.3 cm. The basal matrix is sparkly microcrystalline rubyjack sphalerite crystals. Collected in 1989. Ex Ross Lillie and Ted Bartels Collections. An exceptional and very uncommon 4-sided layered combination specimen with rare fluorite dodecahedrons from the Annabel Lee Mine.
