Fluorite on Microcline

Here we have a nice display quality specimen from the Dreamtime Mine. The pegmatites around the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what most collectors and dealers consider to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of superb color, top quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen has no Amazonite, but features fairly sharp, purple colored cubic crystals of Fluorite sitting on cream colored Microcline matrix. I can see a tiny Smoky Quartz crystal on the backside of the piece for a nice association. The entire Fluorite group measures 2.7 cm across. A cool piece to add to any worldwide Fluorite suite, or a collection of pegmatite minerals.
