Item Description

A cool colorless Fluorite specimen with WATER-CLEAR clarity. The crystals are cubic in habit and are sitting very aesthetically on metallic golden Pyrrhotite matrix. fluorite is found in virtually all colors of the rainbow, but colorles material is rare for the species. It's actually chemically pure when Fluorite is found in colorless crystals, as all of the colors in Fluorite are caused by impurities. These famous specimens from Dal'negorsk have been given the nickname "ice cubes" due to their amazing clarity and lack of color. This piece features several crystals measuring up to 2.0 cm. The main crystals are undamaged, but ther periphery is contacted where the piece was removed from the pocket. Fine quality and very showy! Priced at $1,000.
