Fluorite on Quartz

Item Description

A very fine, very aesthetic fluorite specimen from the famous Blanchard Mine. Lustrous, translucent, "Blanchard blue", blue and purple and purple cubes to 1.7 cm are beautifully clustered on the upright quartz crystal matrix. Many of the crystal faces have the interesting, checkerboard etched pattern. The isolated purple crystal on the right really makes this piece stand out. Very nearly pristine, a trivial bit of corner wear to the purple cube is noted, but is barely noticeable and is certainly not a detraction. Definitely one of the finest Blanchard fluorites we have offered at auction.
