Item Description

The Huanzala mine in Peru has produced some of the most attractive and impressive Fluorites from all of South America. The mine has produced both green and pink Fluorites, and even pieces with the two colors in the same crystal. This pieces hosts several eye-catching, light green color, gemmy, complex / highly modified crystal groups of Fluorite aesthetically perched atop prismatic, gemmy, white/colorless Quartz crystals. The largest Fluorite group measures 16 mm across. Despite a little bit of roughness to the Quartz, this is still a nice small cabinet sized display specimen from this well known locality. With all the gemmy green Fluorite on the market now from China, it's difficult to piece a piece like this into perspective, but these were and still are signficant Fluorites, and are becoming exceptionally difficult to obtain on the market these days.
