Item Description

An unusual and intriguing piece from Santa Eulalia featuring dark inky-purple crystals of Fluorite which are covering the thin, prismatic Quartz crystals. The Fluorites are small to be sure, but they are actually very attractive when you view them up close. The largest Quartz crystal measures 2.3 cm long. I've seen drusy purple Fluorite coating CALCITE from Santa Eulalia, but I can't remember seeing a piece quite like this with tiny Fluorites on Quartz. I think this must have been from an isolated find, so if you collet Fluorite, Quartz or Mexican minerals, this is a perfect piece to add to your collection. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #8055). The piece is accompanied by two labels from Miguel's personal collection along with an unidentified dealer label.
