Fluorite (''phantom'' crystal - rare locality)

This is a good quality and very hard to find Fluorite specimen from the lesser-known Mandronarivo locality in Madagascar. In approximately the last 6 years or so, I've only seen a handful of these and this piece came to us from a friend who had it stashed away from a find in 2018. The large thumbnail / toenail size piece is sharp, well-formed, translucent, rich blue-green colored cubic crystal, free of matrix. When the piece is blacklit, you can see a VIBRANT band of rich green Fluorite on the outer edge, with a very thin purple "phantom" line underneath, leading into a soft green hue in the center. The piece is in good shape on the front/display side, though incomplete on the back. A nice piece for any fan of worldwide Fluorites or minerals from Madagascar.
