Item Description

The beautiful and rarely seen Fluorite crystals from Chumar Bakhoor are some of the most attractive, highly displayable and sought after Fluorite specimens from any locality. Although specimens have been coming out since the 1990s, in recent years we've seen some of the best pieces ever seen from this this famous pegmatite near Nagar. This wonderful small cabinet sized piece was hosts a very gemmy, good-sized, sharp, highly modified crystal group (showing cubic, octahedral and dodecahedral faces) measuring 4.6 cm across aesthetically perched atop bladed silvery-bronze Muscovite matrix. The Fluorite group features a combination of gorgeous pink and green hues, and it's certainly gemmy enough to cut a good-sized clean gemstone. No major damage to speak of on the front / display side of the specimen (contacted where it was separated from the pocket wall), and the piece displayable from a few angles. I don't have to tell you how the value of Nagar Fluorites has risen over the years, and this is a very nice example of this classic material from this famous Pakistani locality. Valued $3,000.
From the collection of Kurt Hefendehl (#176 AP), a well-known German collector all over Europe with worldwide contacts to dealers and collectors. He started collecting seriously at the age of 14 and his great and varied worldwide collection reached over 6000 pieces. He was very active mineralogically until shortly before his passing in 2020 at the age of 82. Considering his collection had a large number of pieces, it still had an unusually high standard of quality from most worldwide localities. He particularly specialized in all classics as well as minerals of the Black Forest, where he spent much time collecting. His Black Forest and German subcollections went to his good friend Wolfgang Wendel. We at The Arkenstone have the privilege of offering the remainder of this great worldwide collection for the coming months/years through our various platforms.
