Item Description

Specimens from the Zobes uranium deposit in Saxony, Germany are incredibly hard to find on the market. The Fluorites from this locality range notably in color (partially due to the presence of the uranium), as I've seen purple, orange, yellow, green and blue in just a handful of specimens over years. This particular piece is a wonderful large miniature / small cabinet featuring several fine quality, sharp, gemmy cubes measuring up to 1.5 cm on edge with a lovely soft greenish-yellow hue sitting on a matrix of Quartz. Most of the Fluorites on the display are in excellent condition, and a couple are even highlighted by tiny metallic golden Pyrites here and there. Some of the crystals on the actually have a slight surface "dusting" from what appears to be micro inclusions of Pyrite as well. If you collect worldwide Fluorites or minerals of Germany / Europe, do NOT miss out on this chance to get your hands on something is virtually non-existent on the market. This specimen comes from the worldwide collection of Herb Obodda (#2495) and is accompanied by an old hand-written label from decades ago.
