Fluorite (rich purple cubes) on Dolomite

A fantastic large cabinet specimen from the famous Shangbao Mine featuring several excellent quality, very sharp, lustrous, gemmy, strong purple colored Fluorite cubes with dodecahedral modifications on the edges measuring up to 2.2 cm on edge sitting among white pearly, curved, slight "saddle"-shaped Dolomite crystals on matrix. The Fluorites actually show some "phantom" zoning which alternates between deep purple and colorless hues with very minor green zones in a couple crystals. I can't find any damage of note to the major Fluorite crystals, though a few of the small Fluorites have minor imperfections. You just don't see many big attention-grabbing pieces like this on the market anymore since Shangbao has been producing less material in recent years. A great piece for any Fluorite enthusiast or a Chinese / Shangbao specimen collector. Priced at $4,500 in the inventory.
