Item Description

An odd stalactite of white / colorless Fluorite from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. This locality is well-known for its wide variety of colors of Fluorite, but this particular form combined with oddly UN-colored crystals is certainly rare for this famous mine. Dozens of sharp, gemmy / translucent, lustrous cubes measuring up to about 5 mm are tightly intergrown along the narrow underlying stalactite form to create this lovely cabinet sized display specimen. The piece is in very good shape all around, though a pair of "rubs" can be seen near the top of the specimen. If you collect Fluorites or Chinese minerals, this is an important, unusual and day I say rare piece that would make a nice addition to any collection as the form and color are certainly hard to find from Yaogangxian. Priced in the inventory at $1,000.
