Item Description

A wonderful, very gemmy (virtually water clear in some areas), purple crystal group of beautiful tetrahexahedra of Fluorite measuring up to 1.1 cm on edge. The piece is in good shape overall, with only a few tiny blemishes. The crystals are so gemmy, and they were difficult to photograph, but the piece looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6749). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
