Fluorite (twin) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A beautifully gemmy green "Spinel"-twinned Fluorite with minor associated Quartz from the famous Naica Mine in Mexico. The Fluorite is nearly water clear in areas, and really glows with color, even without backlighting. The piece is great shape on the display side, though it is contacted on the back. Excellent, old time Naica material, easily dating back 45 years or so. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6111). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
