Specimens from the Homestake-Jack Pot Mine are not commonly seen on the market, especially these days, as nothing has come out in many years. This robust small cabinet display specimen features a large mound of attractive octahedral crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 2.4 cm across on Quartz matrix. The Fluorites might appear to be green, but if you look closely, you can see a bit of soft purple color zoning / banding in areas, giving them a unique overall color. The majority of the Fluorites are undamaged, though there are a few contacts here and there. It should be noted that while the Fluorite crystals are octahedral in shape, they actually have hundreds of tiny modifying faces sprinkled all over, which appears to be a second generation overgrowing the original Fluorite crystals. A really cool specimen of these hard to find specimens from this old gold mine in northwestern Arizona (near the Nevada Border). Priced at $1,250 in the inventory.
