Fluorite (unique "curved" crystals)

Of all the many Fluorite localities in China, these fairly new specimens from the De'An Mine are among the most beautiful, unique and memorable. The oddly "curved" habit of the octahedral crystals measuring up to 3.5 cm across is certainly eye-catching, but when they're backlit, they show a gorgeous mix of colors with a saturated purple hue at the core and lovely blue edges sitting atop a thin gemmy green layer of massive Fluorite from a previous deposition free of matrix. These specimens came and went in a flash, and we haven't seen any new ones in a few years, so if you missed out on picking up a good one, don't let this one pass you buy for a great price! Very good shape all around, save the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. Valued at $1,800 in the inventory.
