Item Description

Mineral specimens of any species are very uncommon from this obscure valley in Bern, Switzerland. This locality has produced a few unique looking fluorites with pink cores surrounded by lighter colored fluorite. This RARE, adorable and aesthetic combination miniature of mostly glassy, gemmy gray fluorite crystals is highlighted by the large striking gem modified ocatahedron with the beautiful vivid pink zone at the base and the accenting gemmy terminated smoky quartz crystal on one side. Faint purple fluorescence. Ex Herb Obodda Fluorite Collection, which sold in the mid-1990s apart from his main, worldwide collection. He later bought part of it back and kept it in his main collection, as well. An extremely fine Swiss combination rarity. Valued at $2000.
