Fluorite with Calcite

Item Description

A wonderful, gemmy golden yellow crystal group of cubic Fluorite with a few beautiful white rhombic crystals of Calcite. The specimen is in great shape overall, and displays beautifully as you can see. The Fluorite crystals are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. I can even see a few small Marcasite inclusions within the Fluorite crystals. The largest Fluorite measures 9 mm on edge. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. From the collection of the long time, beloved, well-known French field collector, Paul Zerfass (Collection #490). Zerfass built this worldwide collection over nearly 50 years, many of which were personally collected. A biography featuring specimens from his collection (along with his face on the cover) is in the May - June 2017 issue of French mineral magazine, Le Regne Mineral.
