Item Description

An aesthetic cluster of glassy, color-zoned, pretty light purple, fluorite cubes dramatically set on a wedge of matrix covered with glassy calcite scalenohedrons from the famous La Collada area of Asturias. The fluorite cubes have very nifty, stepped-growth faces, like Elmwood fluorites and beveled edges, like Xianghualing fluorites! The large fluorite is 5.8 cm. The fluorites are in very good shape, overall. The upper right-hand face looks jagged, but is very nearly complete. The cleave on the lower-left edge of the large cube is noted, but is a modest detraction to the overall striking character of this LARGE CABINET specimen. The back hold a REAL SURPRISE, with two, gem-like, doubly terminated, twinned, calcite crystals to 2.9 cm. Ex Fernandez Buelga Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! valued $1200-1500
