Item Description

This is a really attractive piece of the iconic Fluorites from the Cacilia Mine. Sharp, lustrous, gemmy, "phantom" golden color cubic crystals which are dotted by link pink Dolomite rhombohedra. The Fluorites measure up to 1.1 cm on edge and have almost "misty" internal phantoms, possibly created by thin layers of Marcasite(?). Good quality all around, and highly desirable on the market. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3123). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
