Item Description

Fluorite is common around the world, but it's exceedingly rare in my experience to find a crystal of Fluorite from Naica with a MOVING WATER BUBBLE! This piece is a partial crystal of cubic purple Fluorite, but the important part is that it hosts a clearly visible water bubble that moves several millimeters when the piece is rotated. A cool rarity for anybody who collects Fluorites, inclusion specimens or mineral oddities. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4618) - the label states that this piece was a gift from Scott Williams. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
