Item Description

The great locality of Kara-Oba in Kazakhstan has produced some very attractive specimens of species like Ferberite and Bertrandite over the years, along with some really eye-catching Fluorites. This piece is a very aesthetic and showy specimen featuring rich purple and pale green colored, stacked cubic complex groups of gemmy Fluorite associated with golden metallic Pyrite. A great association piece and lovely miniature display specimen from this well known locality in central Kazakhstan. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12338). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
