Fluorite with Quartz

Fluorite is among the top species for mineral collectors worldwide. It occurs in virtually any color you can think of, and can be found in big, showy display pieces with a great number of beautiful crystal habits and associated species. These beautiful specimens from Riemvasmaak in South Africa started coming out in the early 2000s, and they have a quite unique green color that is distinctive from Fluorites from other localities, with superb textbook octahedral form. For all you collectors who missed out on these Fluorites, this is a great chance to pick up a showy small cabinet specimen for a great price. This piece features many excellent, rich green color, gemmy octahedral crystals intermixed with white/silvery-grey Quartz crystals, creating a beautiful overall display piece. The largest Fluorite measures 1.5 cm across at its longest dimension. A few small imperfections can be seen, so the piece is not 100% undamaged, but it's very eye-catching, and was sawn on the bottom to allow the piece to sit on its own without the need for a base or clay for easy display.
