Item Description

An fine and uncommon, pocket growth cluster of sharp fluororichterite crystals from this noted Ontario locale. Fluororichterite is an uncommon Amphibole Group species. The highly lustrous, green to black, well-striated, fluororichterite crystals reach 3.0 cm in length and the impressive broad crystal is 1.9 cm wide. This impressive jackstraw cluster of crystals has striking visual appeal from several angles and all of the major fluororichterites at the top are sharply terminated. Periphery wear to the piece and oxide coatings on the terminations are noted, but have minimal impact to the quality of this fine piece. Undoutably old-time material. This piece was originally sold to a collector as a Erongo schorl specimen! Wrong. Now rare, excellent and important. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
