Item Description

A signed and numbered Frederick Wilda print of his spectacular painting of an iconic but idealized "skunk" specimen of intermixed calcite and amethyst, from Uruguay. Dated 2003 and #10 of 50. The specimen size as painted is 20 cm tall. The calcite was based off of the centerpiece crystal of Rock Currier's famous specimen, auctioned off a few years ago and now in a private collection, embellished with amethyst points at the base. Wilda is a well known mineral artist specializing in paintings of famous pieces, some completely exact and others with a bit of fantasy upscaling upon request to have fun.
