Item Description

Francisite is only reported from two localities in the world, one being the type locality at the Iron Monarch Mine in Australia, and the Baccu Locci Mine in Italy. This piece is from the latter featuring olive green crusts of this extremely rare copper bismuth selenide on matrix. I believe the blue mineral is Chalcomenite. Impossible to find on the market as VERY few specimens were ever found. A great piece to add to a rarities collection. From the collection of Paolo Matioli with an accompanying label from Luigi Chiappino.
