Galena cast after Calcite w/ Calcite & Fluorite

Item Description

A unique and very showy, CABINET, pseudomorph from Naica. Splendent galena crystals have casted a very large calcite rhomb. You can see the outline of the rhomb on both sides of the piece. Tufts of tiny secondary calcite scalenohedrons cover nearly the entire cast. The gorgeous highlight of the piece is a 1.6 cm, gem-like, water-clear pair of interpenetrating, cuboctahedral fluorite crystals in the center of the piece. Very fine, very uncommon older material from the Consie Prince Collection.
