Item Description

A pair of sharp, well-formed, silvery cubic Galena crystals sit beautifully atop Quartz matrix on this attractive small cabinet display specimen from Schneeberg. The largest Galena measures 1.7 cm, and even though they have some intergrown Quartz, I can only seen a tiny bit of superficial damage. Great quality and aesthetics for this old time materail. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3330) along with a label from Harvard University stating it was part of the Pearse Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
