Item Description

Please note, the label accompanying this piece mentions that it was originally labeled as coming from Pribram in the Czech Republic, and it goes on to say that it's "probably" from the Pfannenberger Einigkeit Mine. With that said the specimen features incredibly SPLENDENT, highly metallic, bright silvery colored octahedral crystals measuring up to 3 mm with associated reddish Sphalerite on host rock matrix. The close up photos don't do the piece justice as the crystals are more attractive in person. This material is incredibly hard to find on the market, especially featuring such amazingly high quality crystals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7237). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
