Item Description

A 1.5 cm intergrown pair of splendent metallic-gray modified galena cubes is aesthetically set in the blocky quartz with siderite and sulfides matrix on this showy and excellent old-time combination from the historic mines at Neudorf. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2395 and acquired from Scott Williams in the early 1960s. Previouly in the Falkenhorst Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic Neudorf galena combination material.
