Item Description
An old-time, classic and showy CABINET combination specimen from the famous Joplin Field of the renowned Tri-State District. Four, matte-finish, cubic to modified cubic, galena crystals to 3.3 cm are jauntily perched on a 3-dimensional, brecciated, silicified limestone matrix. A lustrous, 3.8 cm, twinned, black sphalerite crystal is protected beneath an overhang. Much of the matrix is coated with a showy combination of iridescent, lustrous, brassy, chalcopyrite pyramids on pastel-pink, dolomite rhombs. An excellent old-timer from the Mullane Collection.
