Item Description

Fine galena specimens from the Southern Illinois Fluorite District are not all that common and are especially rare from the well-known Annabel Lee Mine. This excellent, 3.5 x 3.3 x 3.1 cm cube has bright luster with battleship-gray color. The crystal faces are strikingly enhanced by the platy stepped growth. The cube displays very well, with the smaller galena cube and rubyjack sphalerite as a nice accent. This exceptional and rare specimen is essentially pristine. Even the mine level is known on this important piece. Ex Larry Krause dealer stock. Classic, very fine and hard-to-get material.
