Fabulous intense blue color saturation and gemminess characterizes these aquamarines from this recent find at this less well-known Vietnamese locale. This rich blue is seldom matched by the more prolific Pakistan, Brazil or Namibia finds. The smaller of this imposing stepped-growth pair has strikingly partially encased the large crystal. The water-clear gem crystals have very high luster and the few internal veils add character. Complete all-around and in great shape. Part of the large crystal termination face is contacted, but has no damage, per se and you barely noticeable a few small dings along the termination edge. Contacting, with a bit of bruising, on the lower front is noted, but has only minimal impact to the overall high aesthetic quality of this piece. The contact on the back, where another crystal once lay, has no damage, per se. An outstanding and rare aqua in this size and quality from this locale. It comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base (itself valued at $145), for free. 53 grams mass. Valued at $3000-3500.
