Item Description

Tabular, green beryl specimens are very uncommon from this well-known Minas Gerais pegmatite district. The pretty light green crystal has the distinctive form and style of a tabular, hexagonal pink morganite beryl crystal. The crystal is very glassy and gemmy, especially on the outer edges. The two sharp prism faces are just as limpid as the front of the crystal, unlike most morganites, that have frosted/etched prism faces. The other edge faces and back are contacted or bruised, but the striking overall form of the crystal is retained. The "ball" curved, pearlescent muscovite plates is a super accent to this fine rarity. Undoubtedly older material from the 1970s or 80s finds. 105 grams mass. MUCH better in person.
