Item Description

A striking and aesthetic combination specimen from Governador Valadares and the Ed Bancroft Collection. A 6.1 cm, gem, bi-colored tourmaline stunningly protrudes out of the side of the sharply terminated, transparent quartz crystal, that has preferentially frosted faces. The glassy pencil is water-clear with pretty bottle-green color in the lower section grading upward to dark yellow-green at the termination. There are many more smaller tourmalines included in the quartz. Both the tourmaline and the quartz are pristine. Rare and exceptional older combination material from the 1960s or 70s and seldom seen today in this quality.
