This is a superb danburite crystal from Charcas. It is a quality for luster, gemminess, and sheer sparkle that few attain. The water-clear termination has the classic, sharp chisel form. Few are so perfect as this one, as many get damaged in collecting and handling. The glassy calcite rhombs with the gemmy danburite sidecars are a super compliment. We value it highly, as a crystal that really is above the norm for this locality and species. Danburite came out of here by the ton. It would fit well in any fine collection as a jewel-like piece.
